Cats, fish, apples: Fujino draws while looking at an object. Except in his work entitled ‘Patterns’, where he starts sketching and fills the paper until there is no room left and it has become a large black area.

Although all subjects are on the paper, it can hardly keep the lines within. It’s as if they burst out, creating a sense of oppression. ‘’Oh, you know’’ he says to everyone. Fujino has been living in a home for 30 years. Every day he talks to an employee of the home, who has worked there equally as long. He talks about his old friends and acquaintances, his deceased father and mother, his birthplace and about the one time he went to Tokyo. It is his daily routine and he continues to talk until he gets an answer.
